Determining the quantity of ash you will receive from the funeral crematory is difficult as each crematory service process vary. Also variations in body weight, sex, bone structure, age and height of your loved one will determine the size urn you require. We recommend you asking your funeral director for advice. Typically our large urns with a volume capacity of 200-220 cubic inches(3.2 – 3.6 litres), is what you will require to hold the ashes of an adult. We freely exchange if you need a different size urn but it must be unused and returned in its original condition. Alternatively, we recommend that you buy the next size up if you are unsure.
To determine the appropriate urn volume capacity needed for a person, the average guide is that 2.2 kilo of body weight (during a healthy state) = one cubic inch. For example, a 65 kg person would require an urn with at least 140 cubic inches volume capacity, or 2.2 litres for remains. This can vary slightly.
Keepsake 6 cubic” – 100ml or for a premature baby up to 24 weeks gestation
Jewellery will hold only a tiny token of ashes
|Keepsake Urns: Keepsakes are designed to hold a token of ashes. Many people like to scatter their loved one’s ashes in a special place and keep some as a memorial tribute to their beloved one. They are ideal for family members who may want to share their loved one’s ashes amongst siblings or family.
Will the Funeral Company mind if we use our own Urn?
Our Cremation Urns are made from the highest quality using intricate engraving to enhance the design.
Some of our urns have intricate engraving and therefore cannot be engraved with your loved one’s name. We recommend you asking an engraving specialist for advice, as we take no responsibility for damage made by engraving.
Our urn medallions are perfect for engraving and sit around the neck of the urn on a matching chain.

Alternatively they can be placed in a plot at the cemetery.
